Sheila Kiely

Sheila’s work experience in urology began in the Meath Hospital which was relocated to the AMNCH site (TUH) in 1998. It was here where she gained experience on the urology-surgical ward. In 2008 she got the opportunity to work for the Irish Cancer Society as their Prostate Cancer Information Nurse. She later returned to Tallaght Hospital in 2009 as a CNM2 in the Urology Outpatients. In 2010 she moved to University Hospital Limerick where she has continued to work as the Prostate Cancer Coordinator. She has successfully set up the Rapid Access Prostate Clinic which also involves coordinating the patient’s journey.

The Irish Association of Urology Nurses is a non-profit organisation founded in 2002 by a group of motivated nurses committed to growing and developing Urology nursing in Ireland.
